Paula Toledo is an impassioned TEDx, WE Day, Movember speaker, writer and poetic storyteller. She leverages her blog, music and social influence to raise awareness for mental well-being practices such as Play, Curiosity and Wonder to nurture ‘psychological fitness’.

Her story is one of hope. One of incredible determination to not only get through the hardest days, but to stand up for herself and live the life she wanted to live. Paula is on a mission to share how she achieved this and pass on the positive daily habits she carries with her today.

‘H.A.T.S. Off’, her proprietary self-referred, mental well-being social prescription, encourages people to incorporate Humanity, Arts & Awareness, Travel (Discovery) and Sports and Recreation into their daily wellness routine.

Paula’s background as an artist and marketing professional, working for Fortune 500 companies, combined with her personal tragic loss of her husband to mental illness and suicide have all led to the purposeful life and business she leads today. Paula shares hope by facilitating mental well-being practices at home, in schools and in corporate environments. She supports social prescription; the use of arts and true social and heart-felt connections, as a way to promote mental well-being and mitigate feelings of isolation, depression, and anxiety.

Paula has been a featured at WE Day, Movember Canada, the Dukes and Duchesses of Sussex/Cambridge Mental Health Charity, ‘Heads Together’, and as a regular Mental Well-being correspondent on Global TV Montreal. She is also certified by the Canadian Mental Health Association as an Advisor of Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.

When I first heard Paula’s story of healing and resilience through play, I had an immediate connection and knew that others would benefit from her story too. Collision Conference provided a perfect stage for her to share her strength in a compelling way, and her words left a lasting impact on the audience. Not only is her story of resilience impressive, but the work she’s done to build that resilience in others is admirable. I would highly recommend Paula as a speaker and writer, a a thought leader in promoting creativity and play as a way to nurture empathy, resilience and well-being.”
